How We Choose What to Sell
We do not list every automatic feeder we come across. We looked at a wide range of products before building this catalog, and we eliminated a significant number of them. Here is the standard we applied:
Reliability over features. A feeder with eight app integrations that jams after two weeks is useless. The first question we ask about any product is whether it dispenses consistently and accurately over time. Features matter second.
Honest capacity. Several feeders on the market overstate their hopper capacity or claim "6L" based on fill-to-the-brim measurements that are not practical. We verify usable capacity and list what is actually reliable.
Real WiFi requirements. Every WiFi-enabled feeder we carry requires a 2.4GHz network. We tested this, confirmed it, and state it in every listing. The 2.4GHz versus 5GHz confusion is one of the most common sources of returns in this category. We would rather lose a sale to someone with a 5GHz-only router than have them buy something that will not work.
Food safety materials. We only carry products made with food-contact-safe materials. The food tray, hopper interior, and water fountain components that touch food or water are rated for that purpose.
Documented product certifications. Our manufacturing partners maintain documented quality certifications. The products we carry have passed applicable product safety and quality reviews. We do not accept certifications we cannot verify.

The Situations These Products Are Actually For
We pay attention to what pet owners actually say when they are looking for this kind of product. The most common situations are not the ones you see in marketing copy. They are messier and more real than that.
