About Aussieloc
Who is behind Aussieloc?
Aussieloc is operated by MODA CHIC LLC, a registered US business located at 13635 E 104th Ave Unit 500, Commerce City, CO 80022. We are a retail and e-commerce company — not a manufacturer, not a marketplace. We are a small team that selects, tests, and sells smart pet feeding products directly to pet owners across the United States.
When you buy from Aussieloc, you deal with us directly. If something goes wrong, you email us and a real person responds — not a ticketing queue, not an automated chatbot.
Why should I buy from Aussieloc instead of a larger retailer?
We carry a focused selection of feeders that we have personally evaluated rather than listing every product available. We can answer specific questions about each model, and we respond to every email within 1 to 2 business days. We are not a marketplace with dozens of sellers competing for the same listing — when you buy from us, one team is responsible for your order from start to finish.
We also publish honest information about what our products cannot do — wet food limitations, WiFi requirements, size restrictions — because we would rather lose a sale than have a customer buy something that does not work for them.
Do you make the products you sell?
No. We source products from manufacturing partners who develop and produce them. Our role is product selection, quality verification, and customer service. We review certifications, evaluate dispensing reliability, check capacity claims, and confirm WiFi requirements before any product goes on our site.
We are transparent about this because we think it matters. You are buying from a retail business that has done the evaluation work, not from a manufacturer with a stake in overselling their own product.
How do you choose which feeders to sell?
We apply a consistent set of criteria before listing any product:
- Dispensing consistency — does it deliver the right amount reliably over time, not just on first use
- Honest capacity labeling — we verify usable capacity under realistic fill levels, not fill-to-maximum claims
- WiFi requirements — we confirm the actual network requirements and state them clearly
- Food-contact materials — all components that touch food or water are food-safe rated
- Documented product certifications — we require partners to provide verifiable quality documentation
We eliminated products from consideration that overstated specs, had documented jamming issues, or could not provide certification documentation. If a feeder does not meet our criteria, it does not go on the site.
Before You Buy
What types of products do you sell?
We sell automatic feeders and smart water fountains for cats and dogs. Our current range includes:
- WiFi automatic feeders with smartphone app control and programmable portion scheduling
- Camera feeders with HD video, night vision, and two-way audio for remote monitoring
- Feeder and water fountain combination sets for complete daily coverage
All feeders are designed for dry kibble. Wet food compatibility is noted in individual product listings where applicable. View our full range at aussieloc.com/collections/automatic-feeders.
Are your feeders suitable for cats, dogs, or both?
Most models work well for household cats and small to medium dogs. They are not suitable for large dogs over approximately 70 lbs — the portion sizes and bowl design are calibrated for smaller animals. They are also not designed for birds, reptiles, or livestock.
If you are unsure whether a specific model fits your pet's size, email us before ordering and we will give you a direct answer.
Can I use wet food or raw food in these feeders?
No. All standard automatic feeders are designed for dry kibble only. Wet food, raw food, and semi-moist food can clog the dispensing mechanism and spoil quickly at room temperature. If a specific model supports wet food, that is clearly stated in its product listing. When in doubt, assume dry food only.
What WiFi does the feeder need?
All WiFi-enabled models require a 2.4GHz network. They do not support 5GHz-only networks. Most modern home routers broadcast both bands simultaneously — connect your phone to the 2.4GHz band during setup.
If your router only broadcasts 5GHz and you cannot change this, a basic timed feeder without WiFi is a better option. It does the same feeding job reliably via a control panel on the unit, with no app required.
Do I need a camera feeder or will a basic feeder work?
A basic WiFi feeder is the right choice for most daily scheduling needs — consistent meals while you are at work, portion control on a vet's recommendation, or coverage during a short absence. You do not need a camera for this.
A camera feeder adds genuine value if you travel for multiple days and want visual confirmation your pet is eating normally, or if your pet benefits from hearing a familiar voice at mealtime. Both types dispense food equally reliably — the camera is about monitoring, not feeding quality.
I have two cats. Will one feeder work for both?
A 5L or 6L feeder holds enough food for two cats for several days. However, separate feeders placed in different locations usually work better for multi-cat households. Separate stations reduce food competition, allow different portion sizes for different animals, and let you monitor each cat's eating habits independently.
Two basic feeders often cost less combined than one premium model, and the behavioral benefit is significant for cats that compete for food or eat at very different speeds.
How loud is the feeder when it dispenses food?
Most customers describe it as a brief low hum lasting a few seconds — similar to a small coffee grinder. Cats and dogs that starttle easily usually adjust within a few days once they associate the sound with mealtime. If noise is a concern before buying, email us and we can describe the specific level for the model you are considering.
Setup and Use
How do I set up my automatic feeder?
Each feeder comes with a printed instruction manual. The general process: fill the hopper with dry kibble, plug in the unit, then set your feeding schedule using the control panel or the companion app. First-time app setup takes about 5 to 10 minutes.
If you run into trouble during setup, email us at support@aussieloc.com with the product name and a description of what is happening. WiFi setup is the most common issue and we can usually resolve it in one exchange.
How many meals per day can I schedule?
Between 1 and 6 meals per day depending on the model. Each scheduled meal can have its own time and portion size. Check the individual product page for the specific scheduling range of the model you are considering.
What happens if my WiFi goes out?
The feeder keeps running on its programmed schedule using the onboard timer. WiFi is only needed for app control and camera access. Your pet will not miss a meal if the connection drops — the schedule is stored on the device, not in the cloud.
What happens during a power outage?
Most models include battery backup and continue dispensing on schedule during a power outage. Battery duration varies by model and is noted on each product page. This is one of the features we check before listing a product, because a feeder that stops during an outage is significantly less reliable for owners who travel.
Is the feeder easy to clean?
The food bowl and tray are removable on all models and most are dishwasher-safe on the top rack. Clean the bowl and tray at least once a week. Empty and wipe down the hopper every 2 to 4 weeks. Keep water away from the motor unit — the food components are food-safe but the electronics are not waterproof.
The food is jamming or not dispensing properly. What should I do?
Jamming is usually caused by one of three things: kibble that is too large for the dispenser opening, kibble that has swollen from humidity, or debris built up in the dispenser channel. Try:
- Emptying the hopper completely and checking that kibble size matches the product recommendations
- Cleaning the dispenser channel with a dry brush
- Storing food in a sealed, dry container to prevent moisture absorption
If the problem persists, email support@aussieloc.com with a short video of what is happening. We will troubleshoot or arrange a warranty replacement if it is a mechanical issue.
My water fountain pump seems weak or is making noise. What should I do?
Pump performance issues with water fountains are most often caused by mineral buildup rather than a defect — this is especially common in areas with hard water. Clean the pump filter first. If cleaning resolves it, schedule filter cleaning every 2 to 4 weeks.
If cleaning does not resolve the issue and the pump is still underperforming within 12 months of delivery under normal use, it qualifies for warranty service. Email us with your order number and a description of what is happening.
Orders and Shipping
Where does Aussieloc ship?
We ship to the contiguous United States — the 48 lower continental states. We do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, other US territories, military addresses (APO, FPO, DPO), or any international destinations at this time.
Automatic feeders have meaningful weight and size. Shipping them to remote locations involves freight surcharges that are not practical for us to absorb or pass on at a fair price. We are a small business and would rather be honest about our shipping coverage than offer a poor experience at an inflated cost.
How long does delivery take?
Orders are processed within 1 to 3 business days after payment is confirmed. Transit typically takes 7 to 9 business days after your order ships. Total estimated delivery is 8 to 12 business days from the date of your order, depending on your location within the contiguous US.
You will receive a tracking number by email when your order ships.
Is shipping free?
Yes. Standard shipping is free on all orders to the contiguous United States. There is no minimum order amount. All charges are shown at checkout before you complete payment — there are no fees added after purchase.
Can I cancel or change my order after placing it?
Email support@aussieloc.com with your order number within 24 hours of placing the order and before it has shipped. We process orders quickly and cannot guarantee cancellation after that window. If your order has already shipped, you are welcome to return it once it arrives under our 30-day return policy.
Returns and Warranty
What is your return policy?
We accept returns within 30 days of delivery. We accept returns for:
- Defective or not working as described
- Damaged on arrival
- Wrong item received
- Change of mind — if the product is unused and in original or reasonable condition
For defective or incorrect items, we provide a prepaid return label at no cost to you. For change-of-mind returns where the product is working correctly, the customer covers return shipping. Email support@aussieloc.com with your order number to start the process. Do not send anything back before receiving authorization. See our Refund Policy for full details.
Do your products come with a warranty?
Yes. All feeders and water fountains carry a 12-month limited warranty from the date of delivery, covering manufacturing defects and functional failures under normal household use. It does not cover physical damage, misuse, or use of incompatible food types.
To submit a warranty claim, email support@aussieloc.com with your order number, a description of the issue, and a photo or short video if possible. We respond within 2 business days. See our Warranty Policy for full details.
My feeder stopped working. Is it covered?
If your feeder stopped working within 12 months of delivery and it was not caused by physical damage, liquid damage, or misuse, it is likely covered under warranty. Email support@aussieloc.com with your order number and a description of what is happening. We will assess and follow up within 2 business days.
What if my pet refuses to use the feeder or water fountain?
This is common during the first few days. Pets are creatures of habit. Place the feeder near their usual feeding spot, keep the old bowl nearby during the transition period, and let them explore the new feeder at their own pace before relying on it fully. Most cats and dogs adjust within a week once they connect the feeder's sound with mealtime.
If the product is genuinely not working for your situation within 30 days of delivery, contact us and we will discuss your options.
